Overview
Mr. Kim is an associate attorney in the firm’s Patent Prosecution Group. Mr. Kim joined H.C. Park & Associates in 2014 and his practice focuses on preparation and prosecution of patent applications in the technological fields of telecommunications, nanotechnology, semiconductor manufacturing, and display devices.

Prior Experience
Prior to joining H.C. Park & Associates, Mr. Kim worked at Samsung Electronics Memory Division for eight years. As a product manager of strategic marketing team, he was involved in the development and management of DRAM products, including RDIMM, DDR3, GDDR, and XDR memory.

During law school, Mr. Kim worked for the technology transfer office of University of Illinois where he provided patentability and marketability opinions over various University inventions. He furthered his legal experience as a law clerk at Kim & Chang in Seoul and at Stadheim & Grear in Chicago.

Mr. Kim was the recipient of the 2014 Barich Excellence in Patent Law award and CALI awards in Patent Prosecution, Antitrust Law, Digital Forensics, and Drafting Transactions as a law student. He is a Level III candidate of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and served military as a liaison for the Korean Augmentation to the US Army.
