Overview

Mr. Kim is an associate attorney in the firm’s Patent Prosecution Group. Mr. Kim joined H.C. Park & Associates in 2020 as a visiting scholar and his practice focuses on preparation and prosecution of patent applications in the technological fields of nuclear application component, semiconductor, medical imaging device and isotope medicine and display devices.

Prior Legal Experience

Prior to joining H.C. Park & Associates, Mr. Kim worked at Korean government, POSCO, KEPCO affiliation for 15 years as a public officer, engineer, strategic planning and business development manger.

- Technical and legal experience in the field of nuclear energy (safety, security, non-proliferation such as export controls and safeguards, radioactive materials and waste, decontamination and decommissioning, nuclear emergency and nuclear liability law)
- Specialized in law including US nuclear nonproliferation export controls, environmental, regulatory compliance, patent law and EPC contracts, technical transfer, Joint Venture.
- Experience for new advanced reactor development and commercialization and commercial nuclear power plant export including oversea market business development contract
- Experience of audit, organization ethic, investigation of misconduct in public organization and agency
- Advice and consulting for South Korea government about nuclear supply chain
